Hearing on marijuana moratorium questions definition of agriculture

The Adams County Board of Commissioners held a public meeting on Monday, Sept. 26, at 11 a.m. in the courthouse, regarding the Initiative 502 moratorium.

The moratorium prohibits the establishment of marijuana producers, processors and retailers within one mile of residential zones and two miles from community boundaries.

Marijuana extraction processes are also prohibited in unoccupied areas zoned for residential use and allows the process to take place in industrial zoned areas.
