Festivals Association preps for upcoming fundraisers

The Ritzville Festivals Association is gearing up for the annual Penny Auction on Saturday, Nov. 5, at the American Legion Hall. The family-friendly event runs from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., and lunch is served at noon.

After the Penny Auction, the Festivals Association will host the Christmas Tree Sale on Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Festivals building on Railroad Avenue.

Custom trees can be preordered before Nov. 1 by calling Jan Marshall at 659-0152.

The Festivals Association also announced the winners of the raffle drawing. Sandi Miller and Ana Lobe each won a tire planter, and Patty Phillips won a bench.

Proceeds from these events provide college scholarships for the Distinguished Young Woman program. The next DYW will be held on March 18 and is open for all junior girls attending Lind-Ritzville High School or home school students.
