Eastern Adams County's Only Independent Voice Since 1887
Adams Conservation District (ACD) announced the second sign up period for the Palouse Watershed Regional Conservation Partnerships Program (RCPP).
The program helps landowners establish voluntary incentive-based conservation practices, which enhance operations, improve soil and water quality, and develop wildlife habitat.
ACD is committed to help landowners install 20 acres of riparian buffer and 2,000 acres of conservation tillage by June 2020.
They are also working with landowners on Cow Creek who have expressed interest in improving wetland habitat.
ACD is currently applying for funding for these projects. Contact ACD for more information on wetland or riparian restoration on personal property.
To sign up, visit the ACD office or call 659-1553 before Sept. 30 to be considered for 2017 assistance.
