Lind Community Yard Sale moves downtown

The annual Lind Community Yard Sale has proved to be an enjoyable event where locals can sell items and interact with the community. Many residents begin preparing for the sale weeks in advance.

In it’s 15th year, Chairpersons Kindra and Cheryl Haase are excited to announce changes to the location and safety of the sale.

Instead of shoppers driving around searching for participating homes in the sale, the event will be held in one location. This year the sale will take place downtown on Second Street.

Security will also be provided for sale items. The Lind Chamber of Commerce has agreed to sponsor the event and provide night patrol to ensure the safety of the sale items.

The Haase’s encourage locals to start sorting through their homes and garages in preparation for the event.

The Haase’s expressed their appreciation for the increase in assistance they have received in recent years to help make the event a success. They hope this year will prove to be very advantageous as well as improve the number of sales from the past.

The sale will take place on Oct. 14 and 15 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tables and space costs will remain the same as previous years. For more information and to reserve a space, contact Cheryl Haase at 509-347-6210 or Kindra Haase at 509-428-9496.
