Ritzville Museums hosting ice cream social Sept. 10

The Ritzville Museum Volunteers will be hosting a free ice cream social on Sept. l0 at 2 p.m. at the Burroughs’ Home.

The ice cream treats are free and tours are also free to those attending.

During the social a live auction will be held to raise funds for the porch replacement at the local museum. Dale Anderson will be the auctioneer with assistance from Gaynel Gering.

The serving of ice cream will begin promptly at 2 p.m. after a welcome from president Joanne McCrady.

Live auction items include a nights stay at the Marcus Whitman and Davenport hotels, a trip on the fall colors train ride from Ione to Metaline Falls, golf tickets, a painting by Diane Culley and more. Silent auction items will also be available.

Museum volunteers who wish to help that day should contact an officer of the organization.
