On the morning of Aug. 2, Raymond Arthur Stromberger left us suddenly due to a heart attack.
Ray was born Nov. 24, 1950, to Arthur and Dorothy (Krause) Stromberger.
He graduated from Sprague High School in1968 and attended EWSC on a basketball scholarship for two years. He worked on the family farm and did some professional modeling.
He was employed by the Sprague Grange, then a California fuel company and returned to Ritzville and worked for Connell Oil Supply.
Ray was a very social person and touched many people. He loved his friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Art and Dorothy, his ex-wife Tena Strief Miller Stromberger, and brothers-in-law Ray Schmitt, Sr. and Mark Galbreath. Ray is survived by his loving friend and partner, Mary Olson, and his four sisters: Beth (Lee) Insko, Joan Schmitt, Mary Kaye (Roger) Klein, Amy Galbreath, two stepsons, Justin and Seth Miller and two grandchildren Lincoln and Tate.
Memorials may be given to the charity of your choice.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Aug. 12, at the Ritzville Foursquare Church at 4 p.m. on 204 East Second Street, followed by a reception at the American Legion Hall at 5 p.m. located at 106 West Broadway in Ritzville.
