The Ritzville City Council approved the Golf Course Manager Contract, at their meeting on Tuesday, July 5. This agreement described the duties and responsibilities of both the City of Ritzville and Daniel Duff regarding to the Ritzville Municipal Golf Course.
The contract allows Daniel Duff to represent the city as Golf Course Manager, Greens Superintendent and Clubhouse Manager for a term beginning Jan. 1, 2016, and ending Dec. 31, 2016. During this time, Duff will be responsible for the maintenance of the golf course, along with fully operating it.
This includes, opening and closing the course at the appropriate times and maintaining the equipment and tools provided by the City.
Duff will be held accountable for collecting dues and green fees throughout his term.
Along with the course, Duff was granted the first right to use the clubhouse as an operating restaurant or concessions so members, users, and guests of the course can enjoy snacks and refreshments while using the course.
If Duff fails to operate the clubhouse as either the allowed restaurant or concessions, the contract gives the City the right to step in and do so.
The City permits no other use of the clubhouse without prior written consent.
During the meeting, council members said they were excited to have Duff as the manager of the golf course and looks forward to continue working with him.
Duff has served as the golf course manager since 2013.
