Tickets are available for the Adams County Development Council’s Annual Banquet. The event, which showcases the organization’s efforts to grow jobs in the county, will be held in the showroom of Evergreen Implement.
Evergreen Implement maintains stores in several communities including Othello and Ritzville. The John Deere dealership is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. with a wine tasting featuring Foxy Roxy Wines. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. and is catered by Classy Country Catering. The meal includes balsamic glazed roast beef and shrimp scampi.
The development council’s banquet will feature the presentation of its Distinguished Service Award to the Othello Beautification Committee for its efforts to improve the city’s quality of life and sense of place via its Main Street improvement project.
ACDC’s Board of Directors created the award in 2015. Senate Majority Leader Mark Schoesler of Ritzville was the first recipient.
Recipients are honored for their work that results in economic and community development.
George Sharp of Sharp Strategies and Solutions will give the keynote address entitled “The Formula for Success in Community and Economic Development.
Pat Simmons, chairman of ACDC, will provide a review of the organization’s accomplishments, and its priority goals for the coming year. The development council has completed an extensive strategic planning effort. The five-year goals and objectives will be highlighted.
Tickets are $40 in advance or $45 at the door. Reserved tables of eight are available for $375. In Othello, tickets can be purchased from Stephen McFadden or Pat Simmons. In Ritzville, tickets can be purchased from Mike Schrag.
