The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague Lady Broncos are working on playing their last games before they enter the District Tournament on May 10.
They had just one league doubleheader last week against the Reardan Lady Indians at home on Tuesday, April 19.
In the first game, the Lady Broncos fought hard for their 7-6 win over the Lady Indians. Reardan led 3-2 in the first inning and scored two more runs before the fifth inning.
In the sixth inning the Lady Broncos brought home two runners to secure their win over Reardan.
Emma Aldrich pitched the entire game with Lacey Miller behind the plate. The Lady Broncos had 11 hits and just one error.
Alisha Baker and Emily Kinney each had a double and Laurel Hayes hit a homerun.
In the second doubleheader Alarah Pierce-Pulliam pitched with Miller still catching. Reardan started the game off earning seven runs in the first four innings compared to the Lady Broncos single run.
The Lady Broncos were able to earn two additional runs but could not hold Reardan and allowed five more runs to end the game with a 3-12 loss to the Lady Indians.
LRS had nine hits but were unable to convert these into runs and also committed seven errors in the field.
Miller and Kinney each had doubles and Hayes hit a triple.
The Lady Broncos additionally played a Junior Varsity game in Cheney, which provided extra experience for the team as they head into the final league games of the season.
The Lady Broncos face Mary Walker in Springdale on Saturday, April 30, beginning at 11 a.m. and then travel to Liberty for their last regular season game on Monday, May 2, at 3 p.m.
