Ritzville School bond fails by slight margin - Hospital EMS levy passes

The Ritzville School District bond for improvements and construction within the district failed for the second time this year, this time by an even slighter margin. The Hospital District No. 2 EMS levy did pass on the April 26 vote count.

The $12.8 million, 20-year bond first appeared on the February ballot, before being placed on the April Special Election ballot. The school district made the decision to run the same bond twice this year with the intent of working to clarify misinformation about the measure, as well as reaching out to voters who did not cast a ballot in the February election....
