Lind Alumni Banquet is quickly approaching

Members of the Lind Alumni Association have announced the annual Lind Alumni Banquet is to be held on Saturday, May 7, at the Lind-Ritzville Middle School gymnasium, formerly Lind High School.

Honored classes this year will be the classes of 1956, 1966, 1976, 1986, 1991, 1996 and 2006.

In the 1956 class are Gerri (Watkins) Bradley, Esther (Pouley) Capparelli, Walter Erdman, Elmer Fode, Margaret Joanne (Stevens) Hancock, Larry Hougen, Loretta (Weaver) Hudson, Donald Scheeler, Ilene (Damon) Shuler, Thomas Simpson, Marvin Stelzer and Marian (Albershardt) Thompson.

The 1966 class includes, Anthony Angelo, Terry Ashley, Bruce Atkerson, Gloria (Floether) Daniel, Dick Davis, Sharon (Schneider) Disley, James Gross, Mary (Snouffer) Hanson, Dennis Huse, Lana (Kramer) Huse, Carl Jensen, Keither Johnson, Dennis Longmeier, Connie (Kulm) Meilke, Linda (Pouley) Rigert, Margaret (Franz) Robinson, Sally (Krehbiel) Schuder, Warren Smith III and Launa (Smith) Trulson.

In the 1976 class are John Abeny, Brian Borth, Kim (Thompson) Buechel, Jeanette (Franz) Filan, Curtis Franz, Deke Gassett, Ruth (Franz) Gfeller, Alice (Snouffer) Hopkins, Cornelia (Hemmerling) Kromm, Robert (Bob) Larson, Bruce Longmeier, Cindy (Justice) Nelson, Brad O’Neill, Jane Pence, Janet (Scheeler) Phillips, Debbie (Kulm) Rausch, James Rollins, Jay Rollins, Patti (Wahl) Schilling, James Smart, Richard Stelzer, Sheila (Goldner) White and Scott Woodside.

The 1986 class includes Paula (Leonard) Bafus, Laurie (Marr) Borup, Gayleen (Bucher) Dart, Gene Deidrich, Noelle Gering, Julie (Klemmer) Giger, Lynnette (Socci) Jones, David Lobe, Darryl Lobe, Valerie (McTaggart) Mitchell, Pami (Kent) Starring, Kim (Johnson) Ste. Marie, Bobbi Jo (Timm) Strege, Traci (Wahl) Swanstrom, JoEll (Field) Talbot and Teresa Wagner.

The 1991 class includes Nancy (Pence) Curl, Kirk Deidrich, Jon Doyle, Bobbie Jo Erdman, Julie Holland, Todd Kent, Kim Koch,

Michelle (Regan) Loera, Eddie Meyer, Melani (Hill) Schorr, Jennifer (Behrens) Shaw and Stacey Smith.

In the 1996 class are Alyce (Bittick) Barrientoz, Melanie Fode, Bonnie (Rott) Overfield, Justin Palmer, Kevin Pennel, Kassandria (Martel) Rouleau, Rob Schrenk and Mike Wold.

In the class of 2006 are Nick Ashely, Jarod Biermann, Derek Bilodeaux, Tyran Doyle, Darren Eilbes, Jacob Hernandez, Jaron Jenkins, Jenny Jensen, Jeey Najera, Jacob Parkins, James Saetre and Cameron Stevenson.

The banquet will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a catered meal provided by Classy Country Catering. Limited seats are available at the door, but not guaranteed.

The cost of the meal is $20 per individual; and reservations should be made as early as possible.

Don Haase will be the Master of Ceremonies and James Gross, a 1966 graduate of Lind High School will be the guest speaker. Bill Pond, a 1960 graduate of Lind High School will deliver the invocation.

The Virginia Moorman Moore Scholarships and the Lind Alumni Scholarship will be presented during the banquet to applicants chosen from this year’s graduating class.

Alumni wishing to donate to the Scholarship fund are requested to send donations to the Lind Alumni Association, P.O. Box 444, Lind, WA 99341.

All Scholarships are awarded to those applicants residing within the boundaries of the Lind School District.
