Washtucna resident’s son qualifies for a track and field trip to Australia

Reaching out from our small town to yours. Washtucna alumnist class of 1992, Joe Maestas who now resides in Nebraska, has an opportunity to send his son Kordell Maestas to Australia. Kordell has a once in a lifetime chance to experience competing internationally. Kordell was selected to be on the Central Conference Track and Field Team. So exciting to see this young man get a chance at a once in a lifetime experience.

So I am asking the community to find it in there hearts to give Kordell a chance to shine. What a great opportunity of a lifetime!

Please donate any amount towards the cost of competing “Down Under”, let’s show Joe that we didn’t forget where he came from, small towns have big hearts. I would also like to add some more amazing news for this hard working young man, come this fall he will be playing football for Peru State. Way to go Kordell and Maestas family, love your Washington State family!
