LWK places fourth in Dayton meet

At the District 9 1B/2B meet on March 29 in Dayton, the LaCrosse-Washtucna/Kahlotus girls brought home a fourth place finish with 43 total points. Individually, each of the LWK athletes on the girl’s team placed third or higher in an event.

Boy’s Results

Shot put: 7, Keith Zimmer 32-11. 24, Janek Hertenberger 18-11.

Girl’s Results

100: 8, Alynn Harder 15.46.

100 hurdles: 4, Autumn Meyers 21.56.

Shot put: 3, Jessica Guske 27-02.

Discus: 2, Jazzmyn Gordon 79-00. 3, Guske 75-08.

Javelin: 2, Meyers 62-01.

High jump: 2, Gordon 4-08. 3, Meyers 4-00.

Long jump: 3, Harder 12-07.50.

Triple jump: 2, Guske 27-01.

The team moved on to compete in the Carnival of Speed meet at Milton Freewater on April 1.

Gordon earned a second place finish in high jump, being the only LWK athlete to place at the meet.

Girl’s Results

100: 36, Harder 15.33.

100 hurdles: 21, Meyers 22.45.

4x100: 16, Harder, Meyers, Guske, Gordon 58.79.

Shot put: 14, Guske 26-05.75.

Discus: 8, Gordon 86-04. 17, Guske 72-06.

Javelin: 29, Meyers 66-03.

High jump: 2, Gordon 4-10.
