LRS begins track season in Colville

The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague Broncos track and field team kicked off their season at the Ezra Gordon Invitational in Colville on Saturday, March 26.

During the meet, the boys’ team placed eighth with 32 points, while the girls’ team finished ninth with 31 points.

Senior Alan Field posted a strong performance, earning two third place finishes in the 100-meter and 200-meter sprints, as well as a second place finish in long jump and he earned fifth place in the 300-meter hurdles.

On the girls’ side, the 4x100-meter relay team members proved they will be competitive again this year, as they earned first place with a time of 54.80. Felicia Ziemer is running a leg of the relay, filling the vacancy left by Kate Schell.
