Two juniors from Lind-Ritzville High School will travel to Washington, D.C., in June for the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association youth tour.
Felicia Ziemer and Kallie Harder will represent Big Bend Electric Co-op and the State of Washington.
Ziemer is very involved within the school as an athlete and as a scholar. She has been a starter on the Lady Broncos basketball team for three years. She and her teammates were 2B academic state champions in 2014 and 2015.
Ziemer also participates on the track team. In 2015 the Broncos track team was 2B state champions and Ziemer placed high in her own personal events as well.
Ziemer served as class president her freshman and sophomore year as well. She is also an active FFA member as part of several judging teams.
Harder participates in volleyball, basketball and track. She was also a part of the basketball teams, which were named 2B academic state champions.
Harder throws discus and shot put for the track team and earned a fifth place state finish.
She is active in FFA, 4-H, National Honor Society and is a Bible school leader.
Harder has served as the treasurer for her class for three years.
