Eastern Adams County's Only Independent Voice Since 1887
Following the successful conclusion of the Adams County Republican Party Convention, the group is now gearing up for the Lincoln Day Dinner and Auction.
The initial convention took place on March 12, where delegates and alternates were selected to attend the 2016 Washington State Republican Convention. The delegates selected are Shawn Logan, Phil Peterson and Terry Thompson. Alternates are Chet Clinesmith, John Faure and Kevin Johnson.
Randy Flyckt served as the chairman for the Adams County Republican Party Convention.
The Lincoln Day Dinner and Auction is slated for Saturday, April 16, beginning at 5 p.m. with a social hour. The dinner and program begin at 6 p.m. in the American Legion Hall in Ritzville.
The featured speaker for the event is Bill Bryant, a candidate for governor. Also speaking at the event is Chris Vance, candidate for U.S. Senate.
The invited guests of distinction include Senator Mark Schoesler, Representative Joe Schmick, Representative Mary Dye, Commissioners Roger Hartwig, John Marshall and Jeff Stevens, Republican National Committeewoman Fredi Simpson, Congressman Dan Newhouse, Sheriff Dale Wagner, Ritzville Mayor Gary Cook, Othello Mayor Shawn Logan, Lind Mayor Jamie Schmunk, Washtucna Mayor Brian Hille and Hatton Mayor Daniel Fitts.
The meal for the event includes a full prime rib dinner prepared by Classy Country Catering. After the featured speech by Bryant, guests will enjoy musical entertainment provided by the Blankenship Brothers.
The Lincoln Day Dinner Committee members are Laura Danekas, Heidi Hunt, Sherri Brewer and Heather Clinesmith.
Tickets for the event are $40 and can be purchased from Danekas at 659-4089, or Ann Olson at 659-4242. Tickets can also be purchased at Basin Insurance office in Othello.
