STATE QUALIFIERS

STATE QUALIFIERS. Matthias Ferderer pinned his opponent James Inabnit from Republic High School in his first match at the Regional Tournament on Feb. 13 and later earned the right to compete in the State Tournament. Ferderer is joined by LRS Broncos teammates Karl Hawks and Tucker Guiles as State qualifers. The three athletes will travel to Tacoma to compete in state, after placing in the top five in the region. The Mat Classic tournament begins on Feb. 19, and continues into Saturday. Ferderer and Hawks are seniors, while Guiles is a sophomore at Lind-Ritzville High School. -Journal photo by Rachel Plager
