LaCrosse FFA honored at Ag Expo

The FFA Market Plan National Championship team from LaCrosse High School was honored on Tuesday, Feb. 2, when they were recognized by the Spokane Ag Expo and Pacific Farm Forum as a 2016 Excellence in Agriculture Award recipient.

Receiving the award were team members juniors Britte Harder and Abigail McGregor, and 2015 graduate Jason Wigen. LaCrosse teacher and FFA advisor, Lisa Baser, coached the team.

Leading up to the recognition at the Ag Expo, the team of LaCrosse youth successfully competed at the district and state levels before competing against the champions from 32 other states at the national FFA Convention in Louisville, Kentucky in late October of 2015.

The LaCrosse team was recognized in the youth category. The previous youth category winners have been the FBLA team from Odessa High School, and the Ag Issues team of the Liberty-Spangle FFA chapter.
