Eagles hosting a benefit event

The Ritzville Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2739 ladies auxiliary are hosting an event to benefit the American Heart Association (AHA).

The event will be a Sock Hop and attendees are encouraged to wear outfits like poodle skirts and leather jackets while dancing to the SpoCats band.

A dinner of bacon wrapped filet mignon, coconut shrimp with sauce, garlic bread, twice-baked potatoes, Caesar salad and dessert will be served. The price is $25 for two people.

Dinner will be served from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13. There is a $5 cover charge for the dance, which will run from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Contests and prizes will be offered throughout the event.

Members of the Eagles and guests are welcome to attend the Sock Hop where 100 percent of the proceeds are donated to the AHA.
