Adams County Commissioners reorganize assignments for 2016

The Adams County Commissioners began the new year by assigning responsibilities for 2016.

The three commissioners will serve in new roles on the board, as well as represent the commissioners with the county’s various committees.

For the 2016 year the Chairman of the Board of Adams County Commissioners will be John Marshall.

Acting as Vice-Chairman will be Jeffrey Stevens and as Commissioner on the Board will be Roger Hartwig.

The Board spent time reviewing special assignments for 2016 and chose who would be serving for each County related meeting or group.

Marshall will be serving on the Aging and Adult Care group, the QuadCo Regional Transportation Planning Organization (RTPO), Courthouse Operation and Maintenance, People Against Illegal Drugs (PAID), Adams County Development Council, the Legislative Steering Committee and the Eastern Washington Council of Governments.

Stevens will serve Martin Hall, Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC), Spokane Regional Support Network, Job Training Partnership Act-Private Industry Council (JTPA-PIC), Washington Counties Risk Pool, Emergency Food and Shelter Board.

Stevens will also be the alternate for the Eastern Washington Council of Governments, Legislative Steering Committee and Aging and Adult Care.

Hartwig will serve on the Columbia River Policy Advisory Group, the Columbia Basin Ground Water Management Area (GWMA), Law Enforcement Officers and Fire Fighters (LEOFF), Columbia Basin Development League and Emergency Services.

Hartwig will be the alternate for the Legislative Steering Committee, PAID and Martin Hall.
