Winter weather provides fun for local youth, problems on highways

Adams County has seen a consistent snowfall over the past two weeks, with 12.6-inches of total snowfall recorded in the Ritzville area.

The plentiful snow has allowed local children the opportunity to go sledding, as well as build snowmen with their families, like this one at the Weishaar household on West Ninth Avenue.

The snowfall began prior to the local school districts closing for winter break, but both the Lind-Ritzville School District and the Washtucna School District had to close their doors early in the days leading up to break because of the unsafe driving conditions.
