Ron Kimble

Ron Kimble, 64, passed away on November 28.

He was born in Spokane to Donald H. and Violet May Ahler Kimble on February 11, 1951.

He was raised on a farm outside of Tekoa and later moved into the town of Tekoa. He graduated from Tekoa High School in 1969.

He attended Eastern Washington State College for 1.5 years and majored in beer and bowling.

He lived in Spokane selling vacuum cleaners. After realizing selling vacuum cleaners wasn’t his forte, he moved back to Tekoa and got a job with the Stateline Processors for 3 years.

He married his high school sweetheart, Kathryn Michelbook on September 2, 1972. Ron was a meter reader for Washington Water Power.

On October 9, 1974, they had a daughter Tana.

In 1976, they moved to Coeur d’Alene where he became a journeyman lineman.

On March 21, 1981, they had another daughter, Tia.

They lived in Coeur d’Alene for 12 years. In 1988 they moved to Ritzville, there he was a local rep. for Avista. He retired from Avista in 2009.

Ron loved fishing, hunting, camping and drinking beer with his friends.

He enjoyed morning coffee with the group at Jake’s Café.

He was a good husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be missed terribly. He was a hell of a guy!

He is survived by his wife, Kathy, of 43 years; his daughters Tana (Eric) Atkinson of Spokane; Tia (Matt) Kubik of Ritzville; his four grandchildren, Lauren and Tyler Atkinson and Carson and Shane Kubik. He is also survived by his two brothers Larry (Jane) Kimble of Silver Lake and Jeff (Cathy) Kimble of Tyler; his brothers-in-law Don (Sue) Michelbook of Spokane and Bob (Donna) Michelbook of Seguin, Texas, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Violet, father Donald, step-mother Marie and uncles Arnold and Melvin.

Per Ron’s request, there will be no services held, but a celebration of life will be held on January 16, 2016, at beer thirty (3:30 p.m.) at the American Legion Hall, 106 W Broadway, Ritzville.
