Ritzville Fire Chief shares Thanksgiving safety tips

The kitchen is the heart of the home, especially at Thanksgiving. This makes safety in the kitchen during this holiday especially important.

Fire Chief Dennis Sackmann has provided a few tips to ensure the safety of all families during this holiday season.

The first reminder is to stay in the kitchen when cooking on the stovetop so as to better keep an eye on the food. Along these same lines, make sure to stay inside the home when cooking a turkey and check on it frequently.
