Eastern Adams County's Only Independent Voice Since 1887
The Adams County Commissioners accepted the winter gravel-crushing bid for upcoming projects.
There were two bids received for the project that the County Engineer Scott Yaeger estimated to cost $766,176.
The first was from DeAtley Crushing Company for $749,291 and the second came in from Seubert Excavators, Inc with the bid of $584,116.
The county commissioners moved to accept the bid from Seubert Excavators at their meeting Monday, Nov. 9.
Commissioner Jeff Stevens was not present at the time so commissioners Roger Hartwig and John Marshall made and passed the motion with Commissioner Stevens set to sign the contract later that day.
This project will involve crushing 123,000 tons of gravel, which will assist in the Marcellus Road project.
This project is set to take place during the winter months.
