Lind-Ritzville FFA competes in Soils, Trapshooting

Two Lind-Ritzville FFA teams competed at the state competition in the Soils and Land Evaluation event this year.

The team placed sixth in the competition.

The first team included Tessa Jantz, Peyton Curtis, Camden Smith, Abby Gering and Felicia Ziemer.

The second team was comprised of Aaliyah Yaeger, Kierstin Witt, Lacey Miller, Nathan Naught and Brianna Kin Kade.

The advisors were pleased with this turnout, as this is a new group.

The last two years Lind-Ritzville FFA have won the state title.

Last weekend was the kickoff for the trapshooting team as well. They hosted a home shoot with Advisors Andy Williams and Justin Palmer in attendance.

The Lind-Ritzville team consisted of Andrew Witt, Dane Wahl, Damien Rouleau, Garrett Frederick, Ryan Frederick, Bryce Hansen and Adam Manke. This team placed fourth.

There were 15 schools in attendance with a total of 23 squads shooting. A team from Freeman High School received first place.

The group, along with their Advisors, will begin attending other trapshooting events starting in February.
