Ruby Burroughs, 98, died in her sleep on Oct. 27, in Ritzville.
Ruby is survived by her daughter, Pat Burroughs, of Ritzville; her son, Russell ‘Butch’ Burroughs, of Spokane; and her grandchildren Michelle Rigney of Port Orchard, Todd Burroughs of Atlanta, GA and Tanya Hart of Tracy, CA.
She is preceded in death by her husband Lee Burroughs and her brothers Ernie Ahern, Orville Ahern and Cliff Ahern.
She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
Ruby was born in May of 1917 in Ritzville, to her parents Lawrence Ahern and Evelyn Judd. Ruby touched many peoples live through her community involvement and volunteering efforts.
A memorial is planned to celebrate her life at the Ritzville Eagles Club at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14, and is open to all.
The family would like to thank East Adams Care Center for the wonderful care they provided to Ruby.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the Ritzville High School Golf Team at 209 E Wellsandt Road, Ritzville, WA 99169.
