Nova (Chevy) Jeanine Dunning

Nova (Chevy) Jeanine Dunning died on Saturday, Oct. 24, at East Adams Care Center with her daughter by her side.

Chevy was born on Dec. 31, 1929, to John and Bertha Golihugh in Amarillo, Texas.

Her grandchildren remember her telling the story of how her family moved from Amarillo to San Diego in a covered wagon, as it was in the middle of the Great Depression.

Chevy married Roy Laird Sr. in 1956. They raised three children, Michael, Kathy and Roy Jr.
