Finding your passion

“What’s your passion?” the speaker asked at the Chamber of Commerce meeting pointing his finger at me. Being put on the spot is not my favorite position; I immediately answered the first thing that came to mind, “My yard”.

Since then I’ve thought about my response and what had lead up to it.

Over 10 years ago I had bought a 1950ish house with virtually nothing in the yard except dirt: no grass, no trees, a few unkept bushes, and a couple of stumps. Through the years, step by step and dollar by dollar, I proceeded to transform my property into a mini retreat.
