Local Emanuel Lutheran churches celebrate 125 years

The Emanuel Lutheran Church will turn 125-years-old on Oct. 25.

There will be a celebration and worship at 11 a.m., with both the Junior Choir and Senior Choir singing, special preludes and musical offerings and a service of celebration and Holy Communion.

A potluck will follow in the large auditorium.

A brief program of remembrance and thanksgiving will be held and then an anniversary cake will be served.

Following all of that, the group will then proceed to Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery and dedicate the new columbarium, recently landscaped, and bury the ashes of Robert Babbitt.
