Amanda Klindworth has begun working at Lind-Ritzville Middle School She will be teaching a variety of subjects; technology, STEM, Farm to School, Beginning Agriculture and Animal Science.
Klindworth is from Duvall, Washington, and attended Washington State University where she earned her degree in Agriculture and Food Systems in 2014.
She is currently working on her Master’s in Agricultural Science through WSU, which keeps her quite busy. In the free time she enjoys gardening and watching Cougar football.
Klindworth is looking forward to all of her classes and watching her students grow throughout the year. The class she is most excited about is the Farm to School class where she said students will, “plant, manage and harvest produce for the school lunches.”
Her goal for the year is to ensure the students feel, “confident that they know where their food comes from and how it is produced.”
Klindworth married her husband over the summer and is currently living on her farm with him. She also has a puppy named Bandit.
