The Sandwich Shop opens in downtown Lind

A new sandwich shop has opened in Lind with the slogan, “You can bank on our sandwiches.”

Teresa Smith, who has been a Lind resident for 14 years, came up with this clever line as the restaurant she opened is in an old bank building.

She heard the building located at 101 North I Street, which has been a bank its whole life, was going to be sold and gutted for the wood inside. She couldn’t stand the idea of another empty building in her community so she bought it.
