Good Hope Lutheran Church in Lind will host its annual Oktoberfest celebration on Sunday, Oct. 18, at the Lind Senior Center.
The Sunday morning worship will be at 9 a.m. at the center under the leadership of Pastor Mary Daniels. All are welcome to attend.
The Bake Sale will open at 11 a.m. and everyone is reminded to come early for the best choices.
The meal begins at 11 a.m. and will continue until 2 p.m. Featured for dinner is the ever popular German smoked sausage, paired with mashed potatoes and butter, sauerkraut, green beans, applesauce and bread, complimented with a dessert.
The prices are; adults $9, children 12 and under are $5 and a family of two adults and two children are $25. Take-outs are available for those who cannot stay.
A drawing will be held as well. First prize will be an afghan made by Samantha Crow, second and third place will receive a patriotic quilt and fourth place will receive ten pounds of German sausage.
Tickets are available from any member of the congregation or at the door that day.
Everyone in the congregation is involved in some capacity, from setting up to serving, to cleaning up afterwards to making bake sale goodies.
The congregation of Good Hope invites everyone to attend and enjoy a good meal and friendly conversation.
The Lind Senior Center is located at 117 North I Street.
