ALASKAN CRAB. A new auction item for the Lind Chamber of Commerce Auction this year was 10 bags of frozen Alaskan crab, like the bag of King Crab displayed by Tom Jakubowski. Lind residents and members from the surrounding communities gathered at the Lind Grange Hall on Saturday, Oct. 3, for the Lind Chamber of Commerce Auction. Between both the live and silent auction items, the event raised an estimated $6,000.
The auction, with the theme “All Aboard”, celebrated the rural communities, the history of the railway and highlighted donations from local businesses and individuals. The auction serves as the primary fundraiser for the Lind Chamber of Commerce.
