I, for one, think this has been a very long summer.
The heat came early and seemed to stay much longer than usual. Even when the heat went away for a while, it returned and those triple digit temperatures and made it difficult to do much of anything outside.
It seems the older I get the wimpier I become.
Harvest was two or three weeks early, which is never a good sign. So when I thought it was late July it was actually just after the 4th.
It was tough to get excited about much of anything for fear that I would walk outside, faint and fall on the sidewalk and burn up.
