Public meetings for jail assessment

Two assessors from the National Institute of Corrections are traveling to Adams County from Aug. 10-12 to perform an assessment on the jail and justice system.

A public meeting is being held on Aug. 11 at 7 p.m. at the Public Works conference room in Ritzville. A second meeting is scheduled at the Public Services building in Othello on Aug. 12 at 7 p.m.

The assessment is being completed to help Adams County determine a direction to go in regards to the county jail....
