Calvin Daniel Kirschenmann died on July 11 in Ritzville. He was born April 1, 1933 to Rev. Rudolph Kirschenmann and Erna Kirschenmann.
After graduation from high school in Ritzville, Calvin attended Yankon College in South Dakota where he studied theology.
He joined the Army after college and was stationed at Fort Ord Army Base in California.
Calvin met his wife, the late Janet Rae Kirshenmann, in college and they married in 1955.
Calvin always had a passion and love for the beauty industry and furthered his education by attending Marinello School of Beauty in Los Angeles.
After graduating he followed his dream by opening his first beauty salon in Inglewood. He and Janet settled in Los Angeles where he rose to the top in his industry by winning many awards for his craft.
Calvin and Janet decided to raise a family and they moved to Orange County, where Calvin owned many more beauty salons and dress shops.
Calvin was known to always be a good provider for his family and give back all of the love that he received. Calvin and Janet returned to Ritzville to spend their golden years.
Calvin died peacefully and will be greatly missed by his children.
He was preceded in death by his wife Janet Ray Kirschenmann, his father Rev. Rudolph Kirschenmann and his mother Erna Kirschenmann.
He is survived by his three children; Michele Barnes, Denise Knutson, and Kevin Kirschenmann. His brother Stanley Kirschenmann, his sister Violet Huber, and several grandchildren.
Services are Saturday, August 1, at 11 a.m. at the Emanuel Lutheran Church, Ritzville. Please join the family for lunch following the service.
