Douglas Lance Weber, 53, of Spokane, died, June 27. He was born November 6, 1961 in Seattle.
Doug was raised in Ritzville, where he attended school; a graduate of Ritzville High School in 1980.
He attended Washington State University. He enjoyed a career of customer service.
He worked for many years in hotel hospitality, followed by the commercial laundry industry, and later had been employed with Boeing as a mechanic.
Doug enjoyed a passion to coach, and he without exception supported Amy and Tyler in several sports during their years of growing up, especially softball, baseball and soccer.
He had great experiences in scouting during his younger years; and also served as an adult scout leader when Tyler was a scout.
He is survived by his daughter Amy and her husband, Keith, of Seattle; son, Tyler, of Pullman; parents, Michael and Nancy Weber, Ritzville, Claudia and Chuck McCormick, Ritzville; sister, Darlene and Gary of Spokane; brothers, Michael, of Yakima, Greg and Sherrie of Grays Lake, Illinois, Walt and Nancy of Ritzville, Grant and Ginny of Ritzville, David and Michelle also of Ritzville. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
A Memorial Service celebrating Doug’s life will be held on Saturday, July 11, at 11 a.m. at the Ritzville American Legion Hall, with a reception to follow.
The family requests memorial contributions in Doug’s honor be made to the Building Fund of Family and Faith Community Church, W. 1504 Grace, Spokane, WA 99205.
