Washington Jr. Angus Association Field and Wheatland Jackpot

For the third year, the Wheat Land Communities’ Fairgrounds hosted the Washington Jr. Angus Association Field and Wheatland Jackpot. Approximately 60 youth and nearly 100 head of cattle from across Washington and northern Idaho travelled to Ritzville Saturday, May 30th to take part in quality and showmanship events. The top prospect steer was exhibited by Riley Smasne of Post Falls and received $600 in prize money. Second and third place went to TyAnn Tellefson of Warden. Fourth place went to Marlo Lovejoy of Connell. Fifth was awarded to Tyann Tellefson of Warden. Over $2,000 in total was paid out to participants. Showmanship Division Champions were Madison Dixon of Pomeroy, McKenna Lovejoy of Connell, and TyAnn Tellefson of Warden. Jackpot Show sponsors included Cattle Producers of Washington, Bronco Farm Supply, TC Cattle Co., Dixon Land and Livestock, Kootenai Land and Cattle, 4W Ranch, and McRae Ranch.
