The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague Broncos golf team traveled to Stoneridge to compete in league competition last week. Even amid the wind and cold temperatures, the LRS team had success both as a team and as individuals.
The LRS boys won first place overall, and Head Coach Nick Weishaar said he was proud of their success. It helped raise the energy level for the team as they prepared for sub-districts.
Trevor Jantz shot a personal best of 77, leading the boys’ team to their first place victory.
Michael Shields and Brian Campbell each scored a 92 and will advance onto regionals alongside Jantz. Also advancing to regionals for Broncos is Matthew Leffel who scored a 90. Ryan Fredrick played well with a score of 102 and Grayson Whittaker had a 122.
For the Lady Broncos, Tessa Jantz scored a 97 and Morgan Lane advances to regionals with a score of 121.
