Soil judging team places 12th at nationals

The Lind-Ritzville FFA chapter’s land judging team finished 12th in the nation at the 64th Annual National Land, Range and Homesite Contest in Oklahoma City last week. The team also secured a eighth place finish overall in the homesite portion of the contest.

Individually, Tyler O’Brien earned a medal for his ninth place national finish in homesite evaluation. His score of 375 tied three other finishers who placed sixth through ninth.

The first place finisher at the contest scored a 388. O’Brien traveled with last year’s national soils judging team as an alternate.
