Social media could benefit ACSO

I am an avid viewer of Facebook and know many others are as well. Recently I have been seeing posts from the Lincoln County Sheriffs Department displaying criminal activities (Sprague kidnapping) as well as positive notes of their department and local area.

It would be a wonderful thing if Adams County Sherriff’s department could to the same thing. So many people now get their news online and now many people are fed the news via Facebook. It would be a splendid opportunity for our local sheriff’s department to post criminal activities, such as sex offenders, missing people and local criminal offenses on Facebook or social media to keep our eyes open in our area. Also it would be a great vehicle to post the positive accomplishments of our local sheriff’s department.

Lately, there has been such negative press regarding law enforcement in our country. I want to take the time to personally thank our local sheriff and police officers for putting your lives on the line to protect our communities.
