Hunter Education Class scheduled in April

Lind Gun Club and Pheasants Forever will be sponsoring a Hunter Education and firearms safety class in Lind starting April 13-16 and finishing on April 18.

Classes will be held be held from 5-8 p.m. at the Gun Club with Range Day and live fire starting at 9 a.m. on April 18.

There is no fee for the class, everyone is welcome, students 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult, and every class must be attended unless prior arrangements are made.

Hunter education is mandatory for everyone born after Jan. 1, 1972, in order to purchase a Washington Department Fish and Game Hunting license. Hunting out of state sometimes requires proof of Hunter Education regardless of the hunters’ age.

Required pre-registration forms can be obtained by contacting LeRoy Watson at 509-750-7970. Class size is limited to 25 local students.
