Donnett Bourne

Donnette Bourne, 68, of Post Falls, ID died on March 18, at Hospice House of North Idaho after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Donnette was born to Don and Harriet Keison on November 12, 1946 in Ritzville.

After graduation from Ritzville High School in 1965, she attended one year of college at Whitworth College. In 1967, she married Howard Bourne and she began her first career as a mother to three sons. As the children were finishing high school, she went to North Idaho College studying Office Occupations.

She then worked in the accounting department for Contractors Northwest, William Winkler, and Knife River retiring in 2011. She enjoyed camping, fishing, riding her recumbent bicycle, and her dog Daisy.

She is survived by her husband Howard at the home, sons and daughters-in-law Brent and Judy Bourne of Broomfield, CO, Bryan and Jenny Bourne of Big Lake, AK, and Brandon and Audry Bourne of Hayden, ID, six granddaughters, two great grand-daughters, one great-grandson, sisters Nona (Dennis) Thompson of Ritzville, and Margo (Greg) Shelman of Spokane.

The family would like to give a special Thank You to the staff and management of Hospice of North Idaho for their care and compassion.
