Eastern Adams County's Only Independent Voice Since 1887
The City of Ritzville is hosting a Clean-Up Week in coordination with the Adams County Clean-Up day, which is slated for April 4.
In Ritzville, appliance pick up and disposal is available for residents on the evening of Tuesday, March 31.
Residents may place their old appliances in their alleyway, or if an alley is not available, the appliances can be left at the curbside.
City employees are picking up appliances on Wednesday, April 1. Any resident needing assistance is asked to call City Hall.
The acceptable appliances include stoves, refrigerators, clothes washers, clothes dryers, hot water tanks and freezers.
Residents are asked to stand the refrigerators and freezers with the door side against an alley fence or lay it door side down for safety precautions.
Appliances must not have any garbage, clothes or any type of articles in them.
Non-acceptable appliances include microwaves, computers, televisions, batteries, tires, paint or furniture.
Citizens are asked to call City Hall at 659-1930 to schedule pick up by March 30.
City residents may also call City Hall to make arrangements to have junk vehicles hauled to a specific location during the week of March 30-April 3.
