The Grant County Conservation District and the WSU Grant-Adams Master Gardeners are hosting the First Annual Columbia Basin Eco-Gardening Symposium on Saturday, April 25, in the ATEC Building 1800 at Big Bend Community College from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Learn about research-based principles and recommended practices that can help lawns, shrubs, and trees thrive in the Columbia Basin.
Keynote speaker, Paula Dinius with WSU Chelan-Douglas County Extension, will speak on “Trees and Shrubs for Low-Water Use Landscaping in the Columbia Basin”.
Barbara Guilland, Master Gardener Volunteer, will share her expertise with a presentation titled “Becoming Waterwise: Good lawn, but Less Lawn”, and Master Gardener Volunteer Cynthia Calbick will present on “Drought Tolerant Plants for the Columbia Basin”.
The symposium will conclude with a Master Gardener question and answer panel.
