Ritzville Ministerial Association elects new officers

The Ritzville Ministerial Association (RMA) has elected it 2015 officers.

Serving as association president is Pastor Bill Cox of the Ritzville Foursquare Church. Charles Jingling, local representative for the Benge Community Church, was elected as vice-president; Pastor Matthew Yoder of the Menno Mennonite Church, serves as the secretary and Pastor John Hunsberger of the Trinity United Methodist Church, serves as the treasurer.

The RMA is committed to working collaboratively in the community to care for residents and visitors in faith, hope and love.

They organize events with all of the local churches, such as the community Lenten soup suppers, which started on Feb. 25, and run through March 25, as well as the Vacation Bible School held in the summer.

They provide support for individuals and families in need including food, shelter and transportation needs on a case-by-case basis. They also organize worship services at the Life Care Center, Rose Garden and the Adams County Jail.

Additionally the RMA collaborates with local law enforcement offices and public services to provide on-call chaplaincy for East Adams Rural Hospital and local law enforcement agencies. They also provide spiritual care and counseling for resident professionals and public servants as well as general prayer support available on request.

Those who encounter a person in need can contact the RMA or their churches pastor to provide assistance from the association.
