Betty Lou Rowcliffe, 65, died February 1, in Ritzville.
She was born to Jack and Opal Warbrick on November 16, 1949 in Springfield, Oregon. She met and married Harold Rowcliffe on December 19, 1970 in Elk, Washington. They moved to Midland, South Dakota in 1972, where they resided until 1977. They moved back to Elk until 1987; when they moved to Ritzville.
Betty worked as a C.N.A. at Life Care Center. After Life Care she worked at the hospital until she retired in 2009. While employed at the hospital, she was a C.N.A., did transcription and worked in the dietary department.
Betty spent her retirement years leading the local girl scout troop, babysitting her nephew Case and volunteering as the head cook at the senior center. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing, camping and gardening.
She had many hobbies, which included making jewelry, pottery, painting, and various other arts and crafts. She was an active member of the community with many dear friends. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her husband Harold Rowcliffe of Ritzville, a sister: Anna Kinch of Vanita, Oregon, two nieces: Tammy (Rick) Romano and Debora Kinch; six great nieces and nephews and three great-great nephews; as well as very special friends Tom and Arlene Brooks.
Preceding her in death are her parents Jack and Opal Warbrick.
