Pat Reeve, 82, widow of A. Lynn Reeve, died in her home on December 23 attended by family and friends. She was born on March 30, 1932, to Ralph and Lena Gillis.
Survived by her five children: Sheldon (Sherrie), Debra, Linda (Neal), David (Debby), Bruce (Tori); her 7 grandchildren: Jennifer Harold, Erin (Ian) Hunthofte, Kelli (Heath) Geib, Melissa Hansen, Heather Grant, Audre and Brandon Reeve; and her 4 great-grandchildren: Patrick Muller, Piper and Sawyer Geib, and Henry Hansen; She will be missed.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Lena Gillis, Her brothers, Sheldon and Gordon Gillis, and her sister, Alene Staley.
She grew up in Washtucna, raised her family in Ritzville and retired in Spokane. Over the years she worked for Dr’s. Schmick and McConnell, at the Adams County Welfare office, and as a teller at the ONB Bank.
She was organist and choir director for St. Agnes Catholic Church, sang and played music for many local weddings and funerals, and taught piano lessons.
When she wasn’t spending time in her garden, she kept busy knitting, crocheting and sewing beautiful garments and gifts for family and friends.
She was a most patient and loving grandmother, and always had time for a game of any kind. She was admired by all who knew her for her kind heart, generous spirit, and positive outlook on life.
A memorial open house will be held in Ritzville on Saturday, May 9, at the Ritzville Guest House from 12–4 p.m.
