Farm Program deadlines approaching

Deadlines are fast approaching for completing actions needed to participate in programs authorized by Congress under the 2014 Farm Bill.

The new legislation replaced direct payments for 2014-2018 crop years through the creation of two separate new programs; Price Loss Coverage (PLC), which provides protection against price only losses to covered commodities, and Agricultural Risk Coverage (ARC) which provides protection against a loss of revenue based on a combination of losses to price and either County based yields, or individual yields.
