At the age of 100, Ritzville said good-bye to beloved resident Alma Galbreath last Friday.
As an instrumental and respected figure, Alma has lived in the community all her life. She served multiple appointments, including roles on the Big Bend Community College Board of Directors, as well as the BBCC Foundation Board.
She was a 76-year member of the Chapter AR, PEO where she also served in leadership roles.
Alma led by example, being actively engaged in activities throughout the region. She was also civic minded, and she provided generous donations to community projects completed by the Ritzville Downtown Development Association and Project 56.
Alma celebrated her 100th birthday surrounded by family and friends last July, and has been an admired woman in the community throughout her life.
